<div>Childhood cancer... you never think it's gonna be your own child who has to go through this battle. 
</div>
<div>You see these St. Jude commercials and you heart squeezes and you feel so bad for these innocent lives that have to go through so much, so young. 
</div>
<div>A thought usually lingers in the back of your mind, a quiet fear you wish away but it stays one of your worst nightmares as a parent. 
</div>
<div>March 11th was just the beginning of that fear for us, it's a hell we can't seem to wake from.
</div>
<div>From mass to tumor, to malignancy &amp; cancer. 
</div>
<div>Words that we'll never unhear when they pulled us aside and told us the news. 
</div>
<div>Today was just a confirmation of what they were thinking all along. 
</div>
<div>Nephroblastoma cancer / wilms tumor. 
</div>
<div>Doctors said her survival rate is good but it can still be fatal.  Shes going to have a big fight ahead of her. The chemo will be aggressive. It won't be pretty. Pet scans and further testing will be soon and starting 6 weeks of chemo. 
</div>
<div>Once the surgeons are comfortable with the size of the tumor they will go in and remove that &amp; her kidney as well. 
</div>
<div>Once removal is successful, then will come radiation and more chemo therapy. 
</div>
<div>Life has taken us and shaken things completely upside down for his family. 
</div>
