Help Odis Blu Recover!

Hi, my name is Odis Blu. I am a 4 year old English Bulldog. I have been one of the healthiest, goofiest, happiest bulldog my whole life. Anyone who has met me, I think it’s safe to say, has fallen in love with me.

Unfortunately, on Monday, August 30, 2021, I suffered a stroke to my spine, neck area, which has left me TEMPORARILY paralyzed. The medical term is Fibrocartilagenous Embolism aka “FCE”. Both sides are impacted, however, my left side is much more severe than my right side. All I did was turn my head to look back at my baby sister, who I always play with. With my bad luck, that’s when the stroke took place, I lost my balance and could not hold myself up. As the minutes went by, my condition got worse. My amazing Daddy took me to three different animal hospitals until I was admitted. They had to do multiple examinations and an MRI to figure out what’s going on because it was SO sudden with such high repercussions.

I stayed in the ICU for three days at the animal hospital and was discharged to my Mommy and Daddy. I came home and again, with my bad luck, developed an UTI and diarrhea lasting almost 24 hours now, which has left me in more pain than what I was already dealing with. Daddy had to take me back to the ER because I was in complete distress and so much pain.

I am on the road to recovery, but I have been thrown so many hurdles to overcome while trying to regain strength all in less than a week. My parents are left with all the expenses that have accumulated this past week because of my circumstance. I am kindly asking if you all would find it in your hearts to donate towards my medical bills and rehabilitation as it is an enormous amount for just my parents. Any amount is greatly appreciated and I know my parents will be beyond grateful. It will definitely lessen the financial burden on them because this is a LONG road to recovery and as the past few days have proven, anything can happen to possibly delay me getting back on all fours. We all want to thank you for your generosity and kindness. I can’t wait to get back to my silly self and run into ponds, give kisses to all the babes and love on everyone, especially my baby sister, because I am the biggest love bug you’ll ever meet!
