Help Oak Recover – Second Surgery Needed
As many of you know, Oak underwent emergency surgery a few weeks ago after a traumatic accident where he fell out of a moving car. He suffered a fractured femur and a dislocated hip, and thanks to your incredible support, we were able to get him the urgent care he needed.
Unfortunately, Oak’s recovery has not gone as expected. At this stage, he should be at about 50% mobility—but he’s only at 5%. Despite following all post-op instructions, Oak still refuses to use his leg, and it’s become clear that something isn’t right.
He will now need a second surgery to determine what’s preventing his recovery and to give him the best shot at walking and playing again like he used to.
This has been a tough and emotional journey—not just for Oak, but for everyone who loves him. The initial surgery and care have already totaled over $10,000. This second procedure brings new financial challenges, and we’re reaching out once again for help.
Oak is more than just a dog—he’s family. He’s brought joy to so many people, and we want to give him every chance to live a full and healthy life.
Thank you for your continued support, whether it’s through donations, sharing this link, or simply sending good thoughts Oak’s way. Every bit helps.
