Our sweet girl nova got into a bag of xylitol sweetener last night and we didn’t realize she did until she had a seizure, we brought her straight to the ER and did anything and everything we needed to. Unfortunately xylitol toxicity can cause liver damage, and it happens so quick that they could already see it on her lab work no more than 2 hours after it was ingested. Nova ended up needing an over night hospitalization stay which is very pricey - but of course worth it. Any little amount helps even just sharing her store we greatly appreciate anything.
