<div>This is Nova. She’s a 4-year-old grade Quarter Horse who is wildly friendly, a little sassy, and genuinely deserving of a chance. I started her under saddle two months ago, and it feels like one thing after another has tried to get in her way. First it was a tiny fracture, one she wasn’t even lame on, so no one knew it had happened. Then the chronic scar tissue started flaring again. Then the lethargy episodes. Her body just keeps throwing curveballs, but her spirit hasn’t wavered once.

<div>Her owners have poured everything they have into her, both emotionally and financially. Nova has been in my program since April, and even with all the setbacks, she keeps showing up with try and heart. I want to give her one last push before anyone has to make difficult decisions that don’t reflect who she really is or what she could become with proper medical care.

<div><strong> Here are the facts: </strong>She has scar tissue that needs to be re-evaluated, and her genetic test came back <strong>n/IMM</strong>. These episodes she’s having are manageable with the right veterinary support, and I’ve seen countless horses live long, full lives with similar conditions once they finally get appropriate intervention. She just hasn’t had the chance to get ahead of it yet. I truly believe she’s on the verge of stabilizing if we can get her through this stretch. But I can’t do this alone. I’m still grieving losing Byrd, and my heart/resources are stretched thin. Nova is a good mare with a sweet temperament, a willing mind, and the makings of someone’s heart horse. She just needs this medical support to get there.

<div>I’m hoping to raise enough to cover her vet care and give her the real chance she’s been fighting for by providing additional training to find her forever home. This will include the following:
