Strongsville Couple to Help Northeast Ohio SPCA Purchase New Pet Rescue Van
Scott & Marti Cochran of Strongsville are asking for your help to fund the purchase of a new pet rescue van.
The Cochrans’ got involved with the Northeast Ohio SPCA for the prevention of cruelty to animals after hurricane Katrina. Scott said “I thought they were just a local animal shelter. After that hurricane, I discovered that our Northeast Ohio SPCA also travels to other states to rescue dogs and cats from shelters that are overcrowded.”
The van the shelter currently uses for these interstate pet transports needs to be replaced. Scott and Marti have decided to take the initiative to help the pet shelter out and have pledged to match up to $1,000 of donations. Marti exclaimed, “We hope donations will far exceed this amount but, we are very eager to match the first $1,000 that comes in!”
Contributions can be made online at www.northeastohiospca.org or checks may be made payable to “Northeast Ohio SPCA” and sent to 9555 Brookpark Rd. Parma, OH 44129
Northeast Ohio SPCA is a no-kill, non-profit organization focused on giving shelter pets a second chance at life. They provide a safe haven for abandoned, homeless and adoptable pets until they can find a home. Through adoption, education, spay, and neutering, they save lives to make euthanasia of healthy animals unnecessary. Their low-cost Wellness Clinic is open to the public allowing anyone in the community to get the care they need for their loved one.
