Help Me Care for my Grandmother (Norma) in Her Final Days

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I never imagined I’d be writing this, but my family and I are facing an incredibly difficult time. My grandmother, Norma Greenidge, suffered a devastating fall in her home this past January. It was a turning point that changed everything.

For as long as I could, my mother and I took care of her ourselves, ensuring she was surrounded by love and nourishment. But as her health declined, it became clear that we could no longer provide the level of care she needed. It was one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make, but we had no choice but to place her in a nursing home, where we believed she would receive the best care possible.

However, we were blindsided by the harsh reality that her insurance and benefits do not fully cover the cost of her stay or the treatment she desperately needs. As if watching a loved one’s health fade isn’t painful enough, we now find ourselves burdened with overwhelming financial strain, trying to ensure she receives the dignity and care she deserves in her final days.

To make matters even more difficult, we are also faced with the heartbreaking responsibility of making final arrangements for her. Though we know her time is limited, we want to cherish every moment we have left without the constant worry of how we will afford her care or lay her to rest with the peace and honor she deserves.

We are reaching out because, truthfully, I need help. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, would be a blessing to us during this time. Every donation will go toward covering her medical expenses, nursing home costs, and ensuring we can give her the proper farewell when that time comes.
