Noah Dog Needs Emergency Surgery

Donation protected
Noah the Corgi is a 9 year old cardigan full of vitality and life. He is my best friend and greatest companion having accompanied me through military moves and difficult times in life. I am active duty Coast Guard and I recently returned from a back-to-back deployment to Hurricane Harvey and Maria where he greeted me with kisses and tail wags.

Unfortunately, after four days of a happy, active, and healthy Noah, he started to limp and stopped eating his food. I took him the vet and discovered he either ruptured or slipped a disc, both of which will require surgery to repair. He is currently paralyzed from the waiste down and has lost complete control of his bladder. I have to carry him in and out of the apartment and take him around the block in a cart. He remains completely alert and doesn't appear to be in pain; he tries his best to move and greet me at the door when I get home from work, but is unable to walk and just sits there whining because he can't move.

I've done preventative care with steroids and painkillers and unfortunately, he just keeps getting worse. The only option is to have the surgery, which is incredibly expensive at $10K.

I know it is a lot, but any bit will help me offset the costs. He's got a ton of life left in him and after being there for me during multiple moves and rough times in my life, its the least I can do for him.

I love this guy and I am fervently hoping we can get him the surgery he needs to heal.
