Help Nikol Fight Miller-Fisher Syndrome

Hello, my name is Nette Chan-Toledo and I am fundraising to help with the mounting medical bills of my son Nikol ‘Jake’ Toledo.

At the moment, Jake is still in the hospital intensive care unit fighting a rare disease called Miller-Fisher Syndrome. It is an auto-immune disease that affects his cranial nerves causing weakness of the respiratory system and muscle weakness.

What started on October 8 as sensation of pins and needles on his hands and feet rapidly deteriorated into him being intubated and admitted to the ICU. Jake at the time of this writing is still unable to open his eyes, unable to speak, or move his body voluntarily.

My son is not out of the woods yet, and is currently on respiratory support and immunotherapy. Our family remains hopeful that he will eventually pull through. He is only 26 years old. I am asking for your help to cover his rising medical bills, now reaching hundreds of thousand of pesos at St. Luke’s Hospital located in Taguig, Philippines.
