Help Nihal Get Her Master's 2.0

 

I am currently enrolled at WU in Vienna, Austria - studying Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy. However, I am still in Cairo due to the COVID-19 restrictions on travel - which keep fluctuating according to new developments. Regardless, the university requires me to arrive by April 31st of next year at the latest and complete my paperwork in person. So, I am hoping to travel sometime next February when there would be a break from classes. 

 

To describe the absolute craziness of this year, would be redundant - as I am sure each and every one of you has been affected in some way - and your plans completely rearranged. My plan was to have enough money to be able to subsist in Vienna, and then work tirelessly to find a job, so that I can be able to not just subsist, but live. My savings and the compensation I get for sparse freelance work will barely allow me to subsist for a long time. And I can no longer be a financial burden on my retired parents. I am therefore asking your help with my living expenses for the first year of living in Vienna. I am very passionate about the work that I am doing in and for this degree, and I am working as hard as possible to excel - not only for a sense of fulfillment but for the hope of being exposed to opportunities that might allow me to soon be able to take care of my family back home in Egypt.
