<div>My fellow magical unicorns,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My bestie Teresa said its brave to ask for help. This is me being brave.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm glad I didn't buy a lottery ticket this year. Between my surprise divorce, my two herniated discs last year, I thought this year would be better. I was wrong.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the end of June I had my first seizure. They discovered a brain tumor that's impacting my mobility and needs to be removed. Surgery is in August.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The circumstances leading up to the tumor truth were quite unfortunate. I decided to leave the house in granny panties and a house dress. I fell outside of Trader Joe's, and when I finally came to and saw the hot firemen (there were five, all swoon-worthy), my first thought wasn't: am I gonna die, it was why today, in these panties?! I know they can see up my dress!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The past few weeks have been a blur as my body adjusts to anti seizure meds. I try and fail to manage my anxiety as I head into a very surreal experience. They will slice open my skull and remove the offensive tumor from my brain (I decided not to include a photo of my brain, which I had to see displayed as the neurosurgeon assured me surgery will be manageable).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Some days I sleep 14 hours and I realize that I would make a terrible cat. I don't like sleeping THAT much. I would rather be making another book, talking to kids about books, spending time with my beautiful daughter or laughing with my friends.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I don't know how much the 3 ambulance rides, surgery or lost appearances will set me back. I loathe being a divorced woman statistic but right now I am unable to earn. If you can help, I appreciate it sincerely.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I've been fortunate enough to be surrounded by so much love. I feel grateful every single day for the sweet notes and texts
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I look forward to hugging every one of you when I am recovered. Expect 100x more sappiness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you and I love you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>xo
