Help Nicole Kick Cancer's Ass!

As many of you that know Nicole already know, Nicole has breast cancer.  She is kicking cancer’s ass and will continue to kick cancer’s ass but she has a long, uphill road ahead of her.  She recently had a double mastectomy and will soon be starting chemo. She will undergo 8 rounds of chemo for around 4 months.  After chemo, her doctors have suggested radiation.  After chemo and radiation Nicole will need to wait around 4 weeks before she can have her reconstruction surgery.  While Nicole is fortunate to have good health insurance, medical bills will still pile up this year and next.  And, while she is fortunate to have short term disability benefits through her company, they only cover her at 60% of her income for some of the time she needs to take off during the fight of her life, the rest will be unpaid.  Nicole has a huge group of family and friends supporting her, but very few of us live in Denver so Nicole will often be alone while she is sick and weak from chemo and surgeries.  This means that she will have to rely on Uber, dog walkers, meal/delivery services, etc. to help her get through day to day living.  All those extra services are very costly, especially for someone living on 60% of their income, or no income at all.  I have started a GoFundMe page to raise funds to help Nicole with all the financial burdens she will be dealing with over the next year.  As she goes through this fight, Nicole’s energy and focus needs to be on getting through chemo and surgery and getting mentally and physically healthy, not on finances and stressing about how she is going to pay for things.  Please donate if you can.  If you cannot, no worries at all, prayers are just as much appreciated.  Thank you for supporting my best friend and helping her kick cancer’s ass!
