<div>My name is Amanita Funaro I am 23 years old living in NYC. My mother, Monica Casanova is married to Nick Zedd and has been in a relationship and family for 15 years. My mom and Nick also have a son, my little brother Zerak who is 10 years old.

<div>Nick Zedd is an iconic punk filmmaker, creator/head of the Cinema of Transgression movement, and has brought inspiration to thousands of people in the world. Nick Zedd is extremely thankful to all his fans, followers, and people that have been inspired by his art and films to create their own art and films.  During this journey, he is thankful to all the people that have bought from him underground film bulletins, portraits, signed DVDs, and more. As well as the exposure he continues to have in the Underground Art/Film scene, in events like screenings, art shows, museum expos around the world, interviews, articles, fanzines, essays, terms pulled and used from his manifesto for film student college work and much more.

<div>Nick Zedd got diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, hepatitis C and cancer and is on the verge of being terminally ill. This has taken a huge toll on my family and how they must go about life now. My mom is the primary caretaker of Nick Zedd and my little brother Zerak. All the hours of her life right now are taken up by this situation, her energy is consumed by stress for them. She’s unable to get a proper job and bring money into their household due to having to take care of them both, and Nick can’t do a proper job due to his sickness.

<div>Even though my little brother is only 10, he knows what’s going on and is going through his own heartbreak and stress of the situation as a confused heartbroken child. Due to having to use all their money on medical expenses and food, my family is on the verge of being evicted and owe 6 months of rent and more high medical expenses to come. My family lives in Mexico therefore I can’t help physically as much as I would want to. Me living in NYC being a full-time college student as well as working to pay my own bills and rent, I sadly can’t help them economically in the way I wish I could either.

<div>I request through go fund me donations from all the fans of Nick Zedd and our dear friends close to my mother and me, to help if you can for this unfortunate and difficult situation. The amount we ask to help fulfill is for the chance of a liver transplant with medications for Nick and to pay their owed back rent. So, they don’t end up evicted and homeless on the street with a 10-year-old child and Nick almost terminally ill with no longer a safe place for all his archive. I personally have been dealing with a lot of stress and bad mental health the result of this problem my family has been facing and I wish I could solve this all myself, but I just can’t and hope all of Nicks loved ones can understand and help his family deal with this.
