<div>At 5:45p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, surrounded by his siblings and love of his life, Nick took his final breath. Knowing Nick was an honor and he dedicated so much of his time being an advocate for the youth in Saint John and surrounding areas. One of the greatest skaters in Canada, Nick had his own skate shop in uptown Saint John and he was influential in the creation, funding and building of the skatepark that is still here for people to use today. He was the first person to stand up for, support and believe in anyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. He was always there with wisdom and guidance and you knew he would show up for you no matter what.

<div> Nick’s love and life partner, Rebecca and their children, Avery, Wesley, Charlie and Munroe, are now left grieving their husband and father and will be facing financial stress moving to a one income household, while Rebecca also is off work due to an ongoing leg injury. When someone we love dies, we are not only left to pick up the pieces and start creating a new reality without the presence of our loved one, but in todays society we are also faced with the harsh reality that a one income household no longer exists.

<div>Nick would have given the shirt off his back to someone who needed it (and has, I’ve got the pleasure of witnessing him do this) and has rallied around our city to create a better and safer environment for todays youth, so on behalf of his family, I am asking for any donation, whatever you can do, to help Rebecca and the kids navigate this tragedy without the additional stress of how to financially survive.
