Help Nick get through this tough time.

Donation protected
Nick is one of the most selfless, giving, and fiercely loyal people I know. Over the past two or three years, he poured his heart into a business creating natural products to help with opiate, alcohol, and tobacco withdrawal, and abuse, as well as anxiety, pain, and sleep issues. It was a passion project, gaining momentum, until a family member offered to invest time and money, only to later try to take over the company. When Nick refused to give up the business he built from scratch, they turned on him, leading to a devastating lawsuit over money he never received, and has proven over and over. This forced Nick into bankruptcy, and the company he created to help others was lost.

While trying to recover, Nick was hit with another blow: his health. In less than a year, his kidneys have deteriorated drastically—over 10 non-obstructing kidney stones, a 12% loss of kidney function, significant weight loss, extreme fatigue, and, most heartbreakingly, a diagnosis of RCC (renal cell carcinoma), a type of kidney cancer. At just 44 years old, Nick has gone from healthy to fighting for his health. His medical team is moving fast, but anyone with Kaiser knows their fast is most places slow, he has surgery consultations not until Dec. 9, he has been forced to delay a new job he was starting last month, that was meant to help him and his family get back on track.

Despite everything, Nick remains focused on helping others. Whether it’s supporting single mothers in crisis, buying clothes for a boy in need at his daughter’s school, or giving his last $20 to a homeless couple “because it won’t pay my bills, but it could change their lives.” Nick’s kindness knows no bounds, he never asks for help—but now he needs it.

I’m asking anyone who can spare $5, $10, or more to help give Nick a well deserved miracle. If anyone deserves to rest, heal, and enjoy the holiday’s with his daughter without worrying about bills or gifts, it Nick. If you can help, I promise it couldn’t go to a better person—and knowing Nick for 34 years, he’ll pay it forward tenfold when he’s back on his feet, and he will be back on his feet, he’s a fighter.
