Help Nick & fam rebuild after fire

A message from Gina and Nick:

Hello everyone!

We can't begin to describe how humbled we are by the amount of love and support you all have shown to us. We are beyond appreciative and are so lucky to have all of you in our lives. Thank you from the depths of our hearts!

A little about our experience; At 2:09am we were woken by the sound of explosions. When we opened the back window to see what it could have been we saw the Luther Burbank Center up in flames and the flames surrounding our property at the end of Coffey Lane. Minutes later at 2:17am, we narrowly excaped. By the time we were driving down our long, one car driveway, there were 30 ft flames on either side of us. Had we waited any longer, even by minutes, we would have been trapped and wouldn't have made it out. It was by the quick thinking of our neighbor/landlord, and grace of God, that we were able to leave, unharmed. Our house, however, didn't make it. Everything is gone. We thought to go back to secure a few items that may have made it, but the flames were so hot our Cast Iron Skillet was melted! Suffice to say, it was an inferno that nothing could have survived.

We've spent the last week at my (Gina's) parents house and my sister's house. They've been so accomodating and supportive. But, we're looking to move onward and upward soon and passed the loss of our home and the terrifying images of our exerience.

Because we didn't have renters insurance our losses wouldn't be replaced if it wasn't for you.

With everything you've given, we'll be able to pay rent at a new place very soon and start to purchase some of the bigger and more essential items.

Again, words cannot express how deeply appreciative we are for your contribution to our new lives.

Love you all and we can't wait to hug you in person after all of this.

Love,
Gina and Nick

A message from Carla, Nick's amazing sister who lives in Sharon, MA. And whose quick thinking made this campaign possible:

My brother Nick and his family lost their home last night in a massive fire in Santa Rosa. We are blessed that they were able to escape and are safe. Because they had only moments to flee for safety, they have lost all of their belongings. Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.

Much love,
Carla
