Help Nicholson Move Mountains
For Special Needs

Twenty years ago, God took me to Haiti to teach and love His children. I instantly fell in love with those children. I hoped for them. I prayed for them. I was so excited to see how God would use them. I prayed, “Lord, I can’t wait to see how you grow these little ones into men and women that love you. Lord, please help them to know you, to love you, and reach the people of Haiti.”

Almost 20 years later, I have had the blessing to see one of my children doing just that, but he needs your help.

When I taught in Haiti, Nicholson Francois was one of my precious first grade students who had a big smile and an even bigger heart. Today, he is a 26-year-old man who is teaching me about perseverance and love.

When he was 21, Nicholson began doing translation work for a physical therapist at the Miriam Center, a Christian center that cares children and adults living with disabilities. Soon, he began assisting with patient care, and before he knew it, he had fallen in love with helping people with special needs.

"I discovered I have such a heart and passion for children with special needs. It was such a blessing and privilege for me to work with these kids and their families who are in desperate need of rehabilitation," Nicholson said. "In Haiti, children with special needs are often seen as a curse and a burden for the family, but I believe they are created in the image of God like every other human being. And to me that makes them even more special! These kids need to be loved and cared for and I dream of doing that every day as a physical therapist.”

Nicholson wants to help more disabled children in Haiti, but he needs your help to get started. He has finished his first year of school, but he needs financial support to finish his bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.

Nicholson wants to bless children with special needs as a physical therapist at the Miriam Center, and he also dreams of building clinics across Haiti that will serve disabled children without access to proper care.

Will you help make Nicolson bless more disabled children in Haiti?
