Help Nfamara & Mariama Stay in School

People all over the world are struggling more than ever because of the pandemic.

Over the last year and a half, your kind & generous donations have helped keep Nfamara & Mariama in school, fed, clothed, housed & medical care for both Mariama & their mother. They are currently (April 2022) putting cement down on the floor of their home to protect from dampness & rodents.

We have also been raising funds to help keep Nfamara & his sister Mariama in school in Brikama, The Gambia, Africa.

Nfamara & Mariama Conteh need help to stay in school, food, clothing, basic medical supplies and footwear.  I will ensure their current school fees are paid at Jamisa Upper Basic School in Brikama. I am also researching ways in which we as a community can help their community in the bigger picture & look at this as an ongoing expanding challenge &  commitment.

I speak & facetime with Nfamara a few times each week, and help him with guidance & moral support & encouragement. He is a  passionate, driven young man filled with hope, intelligence & an unbreakable spirit. He is very keen to finish his education. Most importantly, he hopes to break the cycle of poverty his family is currently experiencing.  I have also seen the extremely challenging (to say the least) conditions his family are living in. Nfamara has personally  struggled to help take care of his mother, sister & himself after his very beloved father passed away in 2019.

This is an extremely difficult time for us all financially.  I know it is a lot to ask for money during a pandemic, but even if you can spare $5 or $10 dollars or even more, It will help offer Nfamara & Mariama an opportunity to finish school & ease some of  the challenges they face on a daily basis.
