Please Help Newlyweds Navigate Life With ALS - Mobility Van Needed:
At just 30 years old, life was supposed to be full of new beginnings. Recently married and looking forward to building a future together, everything changed when ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) entered our lives.
ALS is a progressive disease that has quickly taken away mobility and independence. Everyday tasks that once felt simple now require assistance, and getting to medical appointments or even leaving the house has become incredibly difficult.
Matt now uses a custom perm-a-chair, which is amazing but weighs over 400 pounds. Transferring in and out of it is painful and carries a high risk of falls. The only way for Matt and his chair to be safely transported is with a vehicle equipped with a ramp and power lift.
As newlyweds, we are doing our best to adapt to this unexpected reality while holding onto hope, love, and the life we dreamed of building together.
One of our greatest needs right now is a wheelchair-accessible mobility van. This vehicle would provide safe, reliable transportation—not only for essential medical visits but also for meaningful moments like spending time together outside the home and staying connected with loved ones for as long as we can.
Unfortunately, mobility vans are extremely costly, and insurance does not cover this expense.
We are reaching out to ask for your help in raising funds to purchase a safe, accessible van that will restore our independence and dignity during this difficult journey.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. If you are unable to give, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. As we face this challenge together, your generosity gives us hope and strength to keep moving forward—side by side.
With love and gratitude,
Victoria and Matt
