<div>The <strong>St. Nicholas Tavelic Network for Morisco Catholics</strong>, or ‘TavNet’, is a missionary network for converts from Islam to the <strong>Catholic Faith</strong>.

<div>In most of the <strong>Muslim world</strong>, local Catholic communities are unwilling or <strong>unable to accept converts</strong> for a variety of reasons. A small network of <strong>underground churches</strong> made up of primarily of <strong>young Catholics</strong> in the Muslim world are working together towards the conversion of their people across the <strong>Middle East and beyond</strong>. Our movement has grown exponentially, nearing nearly a <strong>hundred converts</strong> across the world, with a significant number located in <strong>North Africa. </strong>

<div>To meet the needs of these young converts, who we can attest are filled with <strong>love for Jesus Christ</strong> and an ardent desire to receive the <strong>sacraments</strong>, we will need to travel to a country in North Africa this <strong>December</strong> for nearly a month.
</div>

</div>
<div>A number of priests and lay missionaries will set up a <strong>temporary oratory</strong>; there, converts who are prepared to be received into the Church will receive <strong>sacraments of initiation</strong>, and an intensive <strong>catechesis school</strong> will be held. We will <strong>celebrate Christmas</strong> together as magnanimously as possible to mark this event as a rebirth of the faith in this<strong> historic heart</strong> of the Latin Church, home to so many of our most beloved saints.

<div>For many converts, this will be their <strong>first experience</strong> of Catholic life: we will celebrate the <strong>Divine Office and Holy Mass</strong> each day, provide guided <strong>spiritual exercises</strong>, and fast together for the <strong>Advent season</strong>. This event will also allow us to <strong>field questions</strong> from some trusted non-Catholic Christian friends from the region who will visit.

<div><strong>Your donations</strong> will be vital in providing the converts and missionaries with the following necessities, and in covering any other emergent costs:

<li>Travel <strong>tickets</strong> for the essential team;
</li>
<li>A <strong>villa</strong> to use as a headquarters and a temporary chapel for nearly a month;
</li>
<li><strong>Travel</strong> for those living across the rest of North Africa, including one connecting flight and several train tickets
</li>
<li><strong>Accommodation</strong> for visiting attendees - at least one rental for either gender
</li>
<li><strong>Food and drink</strong>
</li>
<li><strong>Reverent decoration</strong> of the temporary chapel
</li>

<div><em>‘Mission is experienced in </em><strong><em>fellowship with our communities</em></strong><em> and with the whole Church’</em> [Dilexit nos, n. 212], and indeed as our Lord Himself taught, <em>‘by this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have </em><strong><em>loved one for another.</em></strong><em>’</em> [John 13:35].

<div>Facilitating this event will help to bring many<strong> persecuted aspirants</strong> out of a long period of loneliness and isolation, bringing them together into a <strong>real community</strong> of the faithful. In this way, we can honour the words of <strong>Christ our Lord</strong>, who said, <em>‘For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, </em><strong><em>there am I </em></strong><em>in the midst of them’</em> [Matthew 18:20],<em> ‘so that the Spirit can guide us in </em><strong><em>unity </em></strong><em>as brothers and sisters</em>’ [DN, n. 28].

<div>Your donations will be of <strong>historic significance</strong>, aiding the Church in the conversion of North Africa and of the <strong>entire Muslim world</strong>. We believe with the Holy Father that together, ‘our hearts, united with the <strong>heart of Christ</strong>, are capable of working this <strong>social miracle</strong>.’ [DN, n. 28]
