Help Nephew Fight MuscularDystrophy

Hello, everyone! My name is Heather, and this is my nephew Esteban. He is 8 years old, and one of the happiest kids I know! He just recently got diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. For those of you who don’t know what that is, here is a breakdown of it: 

Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. It is one of nine types of muscular dystrophy. DMD is caused by an absence of dystrophin, a protein that helps keep muscle cells intact. Symptom onset is in early childhood, usually between ages 3 and 5. The life expectancy is usually ends in the teen years... 

At this time, he is advancing at a fast pace with his disease, and my family and I are making a GoFundMe to raise money for the continuous treatment of physical therapy, steroids, a wheelchair, and anything else he may need during this time. Anything would be grateful to help my family in need as medical bills are coming in! We hope that he this treatment will keep his life expectancy higher than teen years.
