<div>i have type 1 diabetes. i also live with c-ptsd (complex post traumatic stress disorder) and chronic pain. the interaction of these illnesses causes perpetual fluctuations in my physical state.

<div>for the past 3 years, i have been too ill to keep a steady job and, as a result, have been unable to afford basic survival needs like food, rent, medication and specialised medical services without communal care and/or crowdfunding efforts. this year, i have often had to choose between food, rent or medication – making dangerous decisions for my short-term health in the hopes of assuring my long-term safety.

<div>my mutual aid campaign was previously listed on paypal where 108 generous souls helped me raise $4,080 of my $15,000 goal. with their help, during late june and early july, i was able to: purchase fresh groceries and eat 3 full meals/day; pay for insulin, needles and glucose sensors; pay my internet and hydro bills; access short-term pain relief; purchase a monthly transit pass; pay my rent for the month of july.
