Nelda dedicates 110% to everything she undertakes, whether it is her work, her relentless pursuit of education, or her devotion to family and friends. Her unwavering commitment in all she does is both admirable and invaluable. Nelda consistently prioritizes others and the greater good above herself, embodying humility and thoughtfulness. Despite life’s challenges, she faces each obstacle with remarkable ferocity and strength. Her determination has always been fueled by her love for her friends, family, and wonderful children.

<div>Despite all that Nelda has achieved and the adversities she has overcome, nothing could have prepared her and her family for their current situation. This fall, her home in Florida was struck by multiple hurricanes, the last of which, <strong>Hurricane Milton, left utter devastation in its wake</strong>. The immense force of its winds tore off her roof, causing rain to pour inside her house for hours. Hurricane Helene had just flooded the first floor one week prior. She has lost everything – her cars, personal belongings, family photo albums, furniture, electronics, her home office – all destroyed. An insurance adjuster has deemed the situation a total loss, necessitating a complete rebuild.

<div>Nelda and her family have been forced to relocate to a temporary apartment, striving to find a new sense of normalcy amidst this devastation. However, she now faces significant financial burdens, having to start again from nothing. Additionally, she needs to replace 2 vehicles (both of which have been deemed a total loss), must stock the temporary home with food, beds, couch, etc., and replace all the essential items for herself and her children.
