Help needed while off work for medical treatment

Shortly after my returning home from Joplin, Missouri for a brief Thanksgiving Holiday I fell ill and reported to the hospital.
Unfortunately, doctors located an infection which had laid dormant in my hip. I now must remain in the hospital until the first week of January to receive IV antibiotics 3x daily. I have insurance and a decent job, but I only returned to work a month ago after a prior 3 week bout with infection, which doctors believed I had defeated. Unfortunately, while my blood and other tissues were clear of infection, my hip and S.I. joint were not.
I have only been with my current company for 3 months, so I do not yet have short-term disability insurance or vacation time upon which to rely.
It is difficult for me to ask for help as I have always been able to pay my way. This is a first.
If you could find it possible to help me cover my rent and basic monthly expenses while I am in the hospital, I would greatly appreciate it.
