Help Neal Hamlett Beat Cancer!

Dear Friends, 

I am writing you to ask for your generous support to help our wonderful friend and brother Neal Hamlett overcome the biggest challenge of his life.  

Dawn,  I and our entire family have been blessed to know and love the Hamlett family -Neal, Kelly, Bri, Ira, Amanda and Dylon - for the past 7 years.  They have been such a huge part of our lives.  We are part of the same body, so when they hurt in such time as this, we hurt for them.  They would do the same for us unconditionally. Therefore, I want to share with you Neal’s story of how his life suddenly changed from being a wonderful serving father, husband, artist and a very productive healthy man to someone who found himself facing a battle with cancer. 

Neal strongly believes in the power of a healing God and we are all praying for a full and complete recovery.  Neal has all intentions of beating this disease, but he needs our help with continued prayers and financial support.

On June 19, 2017 Neal left the house on Monday morning and went to work just as any other day.  As he was driving his truck to the job site he felt like passing out and he had to pull over.  He was taken to the emergency room.  He had very low blood pressure.  The doctors stabilized his vitals and ordered a scope and biopsy to check for internal bleeding in his stomach.  A few days later, the CT and PET scans confirmed Neal’s diagnosis of gastric cancer (Adenocarcinoma) Stage 3 borderline Stage 4.

Neal has been in the care of an oncologist and has a long road ahead with a combination of Chemotherapy, radiation and surgery planned for next weeks and months ahead.  Neal refuses to accept the statistics.  He’s keeping a positive attitude and choosing to fight back.  He firmly believes God will see him through this difficult season. He knows the road ahead will be difficult but he’s encircled by a great wife, kids, family and friends that will be doing a lot of heavy lifting as the treatment, surgeries, etc. will require deep patience and full endurance.

Neal and Kelly Hamlett are the most generous people I ever met.  They are so generous with their time, money, and everything else, no matter the value.  They have done so much for me and my family.  I want you to join hands with me to help them financially through this difficult time.

Even with a decent insurance plan, the medical expenses from all the procedures, scans, bloodwork and medications, the bills have started to mount.  The costs of the upcoming treatments, surgeries, medications are going to be a challenge to keep up with.  With Neal out a job for a while, A single income family from Kelly's job will only just cover the normal living expenses, so we need to do something.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 for the Hamlett family which would help cover Neal’s copays for medical expenses, therapies and treatment.  I humbly ask for your generous financial support to help us achieve our goal as soon as possible.  If you can’t give much, give what you can, please remember, every little bit counts. Our hope and prayer is that Neal’s struggle with cancer is a temporary setback and that his experience would become a testimony of prayerful triumph and love.
