<div>Hi everyone - my name is Jessie Boyer and I started this fundraiser more in 2021 to help my dear friend, Nayna, be able to get cancer treatment and keep her home.

<div>After many months, and what seemed like a successful fight against breast cancer, a cancerous node was found in her lung. She's had an entire lobe of that lung removed, but is now having to undergo chemo and take Keytruda indefinitely. This is on top of what they have now found to be spinal problems that keep her in constant pain.

<div>So, more fights with insurance, more denials of coverage, more insanely high copays for literally everything. Even the doctors say it's by far the worst insurance they have ever dealt with.

<div>Trying to keep up with the basics (like rent, which keeps going up) while also paying the several hundred dollars every month -- out of pocket (!) -- for her husband's eye shots (essential to retain sight in his one good eye) AND also fighting cancer is just ridiculous and we are all *over it*.

<div>Is it infuriating? Yes.

<div>Scary? Yes.
</div>
<div>Depressing? Yeah.

<div>Are we defeated? Hell no.
