Hello everyone! I’m making this GoFundMe on behalf of a friend who wishes to remain anonymous for their safety.
My friend is in a very difficult situation as a disabled Transwoman who relies entirely on her family for support.
With complete financial control often comes abuses of power where my friend isn't allowed to make any decisions about her life which leaves her hopeless and has become detrimental to her mental health. Her disability prevents her from working.
She doesn’t feel she can live openly and freely in her current situation without any agency or independence. In the past when she’s tried to stand up for herself she’s been kicked out and cut off financially.
The funds raised will help her secure housing and get her on her feet to start this journey to independence as she applies for disability benefits, finds housing/relocates and so on.
