Hi ! my name is Natalee Santiago and I’m currently a high school senior in Western Mass!
I’ve been a dedicated musician for 8 years, beginning with the alto saxophone in elementary school to now knowing over 4 instruments! In high school, I’ve had the privilege of serving as saxophone section leader, woodwind captain, and being selected for the audition only District wind ensemble. I’m also a proud member of my schools Jazz Band and the Youth Wind Ensemble of Springfield.
This year, I was given an incredible honor of being recommended by my band director and selected to join the Ambassadors of Music trip to Europe. This once in a lifetime opportunity will allow me to travel to five countries, perform in historic venues, and represent both my school and community on an international level!
This trip would be such an important step in my journey as a musician. Not only would I get the chance to perform in historic venues across Europe, but I’d also be able to connect with musicians from other countries and from all over the U.S. Sharing music across cultures will help me grow as a performer and inspire me as I pursue my dream of becoming a future Music Major.
Beyond music, I am deeply involved in my school and community. I am the Class President for the Class of 2026, President of Drama Club, an active member of Tri-M, School Council, and my school’s interview committee. Outside of school, I work as a barista at Starbucks and love giving back to my community through service and leadership.
This opportunity does come with a significant cost. I am working as much as I can, and my family is doing their best to help cover the trip, but any additional support would mean the world to me and bring me closer to making this dream a reality. I am deeply grateful for your generosity and support as I take this next step in my musical journey. <3
