Help my Woobie keep his sight

Donation protected
My loved ones... I'm reaching out to you, with a desperate need.  A need so deep, that I will do ANYTHING I have to do.   My amazing Woobie... this extremely handsome fella... my heart and soul... the light of our family... needs all the support and prayers, that you are able to send.  (For those of you that don't know what a Woobie is... it's the most exceptional human... my precious nephew).

My Quinner (he'll probably kill me for calling him that to the public), "Quint" has just been dealt an unbearable blow.   Yesterday he was told that he's going blind... and very quickly.  I feel like I'm dreaming, just typing that.  DAMN YOU DIABETES!!!

But there is hope... hopefully...

He needs 6 rounds of shots in his eyes... IN. HIS. EYE. BALLS!  Starting immediately, if there's any chance for it to work, because they have already deteriorated so much.  He needs to get these shots every month for 6 months.  The doctors say it's the only hope he has of keeping his sight.  DAMN YOU DIABETES!!!!!  Unfortunately, each round of shots (every month) cost $2,000!  For those of you that suck at math as much as I do, that's $12,000!  And insurance does not pay for any of it... yep, you heard that right, even though it's his ONLY hope of not going blind.  Because of this, he is being let go from his job, because he can't see the computer screen anymore (Quinner did say that they were very nice about having to let him go)... so now, no income, and no more insurance to even pay for his LIFE SAVING insulin (which costs hundreds of dollars a month).  His Mom is on it, already applying for disability/SS for him... but was told that it could take up to a year to be approved.  REALLY???!!!!!!

My wonderful Woobie has already had to endure a very difficult life, having been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (Juvenile Diabetes) at only 14.  And it started as the worst, right from the beginning.  He had to grow up at 14, and never got to experience the carefree life that most kids/teenagers/young adults do.  He's had to live every day of his life around... 4 insulin shots a day, carrying a case of syringes and test strips with him everywhere he goes, 24/7, just to STAY ALIVE.  Never being able to enjoy the same food, drinks, fun as most do.  And through it all, his LIGHT has never dimmed.  He's the kindest.  He's the most loving.  He's the most compassionate.  He's truly NEVER done or said an unkind thing to anyone, ever.  And he's SO funny!  In fact, just today when I told him there were no limits to what I will do, to get him these shots (in graphic detail, that I cannot repeat here)... his response to me was (as it has been more times than I care to admit)... "Aunt Karri!  Shut your dirty little mouth!  I don't want to know anything about that!"   Poor kid... I'm a terrible aunt :(.   I could go on forever, about how amazing he is... but the truth is, there truly are no words wonderful enough to describe him.   Just know that the world needs a lot more Quinners in it.  And I have to make sure that this Quinner gets to SEE all the joy HE brings to the world!

PLEASE help if you are able... every dollar will make a difference.  I'm not above begging, if it will save my Woobie's sight.  We will also GLADLY accept all the prayers you can muster and send his way.

PLEASE share this also.

Love you all, and all God's blessings to you!
