Me and my wife tied the knot 8 years ago and were blessed with 2 beautiful princesses.

She is a loving wife, committed mother of 2 beautiful girls ages 8 and 4 years old. She always strived to live her life to the fullest and constantly wears a smile on her face making friends wherever she goes. She is happy and contented with everything that we have. I love her with all my heart.

Her symptoms started January 2018. She was hospitalized beacause of severe abdominal pain and blood infection. Her diagnosis then was Amoebiasis and UTI. Scans came back normal that time. She was discharged after 4 days. Her Onco told us that if they did colonoscopy that time, she would have been caught early. Lesson learned, don’t get out of the hospital unless you are 101% sure of your diagnosis.

Then October last year, I rushed her again to the hospital. She writhes in pain. Knowing my wife, she have a high tolerance to pain. The doctors examined her and found a slight laceration on her anus. Took blood samples from her and results was very high blood infection and very low hemoglobin level.. She’s starting to have fever then. She got admitted and immediately transfused 3 bags of blood. Scanned her again and this time a mass was found on her recto-sigmoid area. We were told that she needed colonoscopy ASAP so they can better see the mass.
During the procedure, they found the mass that is almost completely obstructing her colon. And it was bleeding.. They sent samples for biopsy and we were all shocked with the result, ADENOCARCINOMA PROBABLY MALIGNANT. We were advised regarding the needed operation ASAP but we opted to transfer first to a government hospital because her health insurance from my company did not cover our bills. Said it fell under pre-existing condition and our plan has no coverage for that. So frustrating on our part.

We transferred her at Philippine General Hospital (PGH) and she undergo surgery ASAP. They were able to remove the sigmoid mass but also had to remove her uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes due to complications. Sewed her up but had to leave her intestine hanging out in a colostomy bag and will only be reconnected back after she finishes her chemotherapy sessions. Biopsied her again and this time we were able to know the staging of her Cancer, Stage lllC Colon Cancer.
Never thought we’ll be battling Cancer early in our life..
We will fight this war together with our kids who gives us the reason to fight.

She is now halfway done on her chemo but will have other testing performed for an indefinite amount of time.

We need your help in this fight to sustain and finish the needed chemotherapy sessions. Hoping and praying for your support.
