Vision A New Hope For Our Sister

Donation protected

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and share a little about what it would mean to me to be able to purchase the esight glasses.
First a little about my, I was fortunate to grow up with my six siblings and many cousins close by. It was taught to me the importance of having people in your life who cared about you and are there when things are not so great.
This was brought home to me in 1986 when I was diagnosed with an eye condition called "Star Guards" and that I was legally blind that there were no treatment options and this now my new reality. To say I was devastating would be an understatement, I recall phoning my parents and sharing my "NEWS" and crying, I did know what to expect or what this would mean. I do recall getting a phonecalls from  from my siblings,if it would possible for them to give one of their eyes. Obviously,  that was not  possible. However we are over 30 years later and they are still trying to give me the gift of sight by starting this this fund raiser initiative.
For me the last 30 years have brought many changes in my life, learning to live as a person with a disabilty, being a single parent and making a decision to go back to school and to truely embrace my new reality as a person with a visual impairment. Imagine if you can have 20/20 eyesight one day and being told the next day you are losing your sight, that the things you love so much as reading, walking, biking, and learning to drive are now changed forever. The loss of independence,  the need to ask for someone to read for you, to help find your seat on a plane, punching in your  debit number on your bank card. Not to see clearly see the details of your children,s face, or to clearly see them participate in a sporting event,or a christmas concert. Here are a few things we all take for granted and expect and deserve to have in our lives.Having the Esight glasses would give me back some of the things that I love to see and do. I would like to thank everyone who has or will donate to this endeavor. I truely love and appreciate all of you. Again thank you
