Help my sister Sarah get through breast cancer

 

Hello friends and family and wonderful people I have never met!

I am here to ask for help for my little sister Sarah!

In May a few days before her 44th birthday party she was diagnosed with invasive grade 2 breast cancer that had already spread to a gland in her arm pit. 

She lives in Galicia Spain and is a super Mum to Nerang and Yuri – her beautiful boys and she has an amazing and supportive partner Jose. 

Before Covid they were just starting a new business and had gotten a loan to buy a bakery trailer. They had been working so hard to fit it out and teaching themselves to bake amazing bread and had big plans to do medieval markets and make their living from baking. Obviously like with so many small business Covid completely destroyed that plan for a very long time. Sarah is no stranger to money worries! With NO HELP from the government she had to hustle hard to keep food on the table for her and the kids! She worked illegally making bread and pies for friends, family and neighbours. Her partner managed to find some pretty dismal work in a factory working nights for minimum wage.

But now she has to stop work. She has already been doing chemo for months and trying to work and look after the kids and keep it together. But the chemo has made her too sick and exhausted too continue.
There is no financial help or sick pay in Spain for cancer patients if you are self-employed. The stress of paying the rent and feeding the kids is adding more fear and worry into her life and not giving her any space to rest or heal. 

I really want to be able to take that one element of stress out of her life. I want her to be able to afford some alternative therapies and supplements to get through this. I don’t want money to be the reason she doesn’t. 

I know she really struggles with asking for help so I am here doing it for her. She has been prescribed 6 months chemo, an operation, 6 months radiation and then 10-year hormonal treatment. 
Even with all of this there are just no guarantees, there is only a %75 success rate with this treatment and with in this for %25 of women the cancer returns.  

This has all come at such a terrible time financially for her (as with so many of us) 

She is still so young, strong and full of plans. I love her so much and those kids need her. We need her to live. Any contribution will be so greatly appreciated. If you cant then we completely understand. 

This is what the money is for 

€900 a month for 7 months for all bills, food for her and the kids, basics and all the supplements. She is also on a special diet, which is way more than what she would normally spend on food. 

€1500 for 15 sessions of Ozone Therapy 

€1500 for 5 sessions of Nanothermia which is only done in private clinics in Spain and really gets people though cancer and treatment alive.

€400 for 3 months medicinal mushrooms to help her body reduce the size of the tumour, support her immune system and help her manage the side effects.

Those of you who know me know I can get into the ole doom spiral but not Sarah! We are only asking for help for 7 months because she insisted on it. She is staying positive and believing she will able to work again soon! 

She said this to me the other day!   

"I want to stay positive and I want you to stay positive! I don’t want this to go on forever and I want to get better soon as possible! I want be able to provide for my kids because they need me. I want go and work with my partner and be able to pay the rent. I want to get my life back, my beautiful garden, my veggie patch, my fruit trees.  I need natural therapy to help me get through this shit and be healthy enough to keep going when I'm finished"

Hola amigos y familiares y gente maravillosa que nunca he conocido!

¡Estoy aquí para pedir ayuda para mi hermana pequeña Sarah!

En mayo, unos días antes de su fiesta de cumpleaños número 44, le diagnosticaron cáncer de mama invasivo de grado 2 que ya se había extendido a una glándula en la axila.

Vive en Galicia, España y es una súper mamá para Nerang y Yuri, sus hermosos hijos y tiene un compañero increíble y comprensivo, José.

Antes de Covid, recién estaban comenzando un nuevo negocio y habían obtenido un préstamo para comprar un remolque de panadería. Habían estado trabajando tan duro para prepararlo y aprender a hornear pan increíble y tenían grandes planes para hacer mercados medievales y ganarse la vida horneando. Obviamente, como con tantas pequeñas empresas, Covid destruyó completamente ese plan durante mucho tiempo. ¡Sarah no es ajena a las preocupaciones económicas! ¡SIN AYUDA del gobierno, tuvo que esforzarse mucho para mantener comida en la mesa para ella y los niños! Trabajaba ilegalmente haciendo pan y empanadas para amigos, familiares y vecinos. Su pareja se las arregló para encontrar un trabajo bastante pésimo en una fábrica trabajando por las noches por el salario mínimo.

Pero ahora tiene que dejar de trabajar. Ella ya ha estado haciendo quimioterapia durante meses y tratando de trabajar, cuidar a los niños y mantener la calma. Pero la quimioterapia la ha puesto demasiado enferma y agotada para continuar.

En España no hay ayuda económica ni pago por enfermedad para los pacientes con cáncer si trabajas por cuenta propia. El estrés de pagar el alquiler y alimentar a los niños está agregando más miedo y preocupación a su vida y no le da espacio para descansar o sanar.

Realmente quiero poder eliminar ese elemento de estrés de su vida. Quiero que ella pueda pagar algunas terapias alternativas y suplementos para superar esto. No quiero que el dinero sea la razón por la que ella no cura.

Sé que a ella le cuesta mucho pedir ayuda, así que estoy aquí haciéndolo por ella. Le han recetado 6 meses de quimioterapia, una operación, 6 meses de radiación y luego un tratamiento hormonal de 10 años.

Incluso con todo esto, simplemente no hay garantías, solo hay una tasa de éxito del 75% con este tratamiento y en esto, para el 25% de las mujeres, el cáncer regresa.

Todo esto ha llegado en un momento tan terrible financieramente para ella (como para muchos de nosotros)

Ella es todavía muy joven, fuerte y llena de planes. La amo tanto y esos niños la necesitan. ¡La necesitamos para vivir! Cualquier contribución será muy apreciada. Si no puede, lo entendemos completamente.

Estamos pidiendo

900 € al mes durante 7 meses para todas las facturas, comida para ella y los niños, básicos y todos los complementos. También sigue una dieta especial, que es mucho más de lo que gastaría normalmente en comida.

1500 € por 15 sesiones de Ozonoterapia

1500 € por 5 sesiones de Nanotermia que solo se realiza en clínicas privadas en España y realmente ayuda a la gente a sobrevivir al cáncer y al tratamiento.

400 € por 3 meses de hongos medicinales para ayudar a su cuerpo a reducir el tamaño del tumor, apoyar su sistema inmunológico y ayudarla a controlar los efectos secundarios.

Aquellos de ustedes que me conocen saben que puedo entrar en la vieja espiral de la perdición, ¡pero no Sarah! Solo pedimos ayuda durante 7 meses porque ella insistió en ello. ¡Se mantiene positiva y cree que pronto podrá volver a trabajar!

¡Me dijo esto el otro día!

¡Quiero ser positivo y quiero que tú seas positivo! ¡No quiero que esto continúe para siempre y quiero mejorar lo antes posible! Quiero poder mantener a mis hijos porque me necesitan. Quiero ir a trabajar con mi pareja y poder pagar el alquiler. Quiero recuperar mi vida, mi hermoso jardín, mi huerto, mis árboles frutales. Necesito una terapia natural que me ayude a superar esta mierda y estar lo suficientemente saludable como para seguir adelante cuando termine.
