<div>Just a few weeks ago, our world was turned upside down when my sister was diagnosed with stage 4 Nasopharyngeal cancer — a rare and aggressive form of head and neck cancer. In the blink of an eye, everything changed for her… and for all of us who love her.

<div>It started out as what seemed like something small. She had jaw pain and swelling in the lymph nodes that we thought might be TMJ. The dentist agreed, did X-rays, and gave her a mouth guard. But the pain only got worse. Her lymph nodes had been swollen for months, but she was told not to worry — that it was probably nothing. But she knew her body, and she knew something wasn’t right.

<div>Eventually, she took herself to the ER. That one brave decision set everything in motion. From there, she was sent for a biopsy, blood work, CT, MRI, and a PET scan. At first, doctors suspected lymphoma, and we all braced ourselves for that diagnosis. But the results told a different story — one none of us were prepared for.

<div>It wasn’t lymphoma. It was Nasopharyngeal cancer — rare, aggressive, and completely unexpected. Even the medical team hadn’t considered it at first because of how uncommon it is.

<div>Now, my sister is facing the unimaginable. She’s had to put her life on hold — stepping away from full-time nursing school and a full-time job that she worked so hard to balance. She had dreams of becoming a nurse to care for others… but now, she’s the one who needs care and support.

<div>She’s currently undergoing a grueling 6–12 month chemotherapy and chemoradiation treatment, all while living <span>far from family. She’s fighting to stay strong while managing rent, groceries, student loans, and now, overwhelming medical bills, treatments, and care.</span>

<div>This has been the scariest and most painful chapter of her life. Some days, the fear feels unbearable. But she’s still holding on — to faith, to hope, and to the belief that she can beat this.

</div>

<div>That’s why I’m here — to ask for help.
