Help Our Sister Conquer Cancer

This past spring our sister Peg was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.  She is a strong, beautiful, caring wife and mother of two beautiful sons who recently graduated College.  She is kind and selfless and rarely asks for help.  Since her diagnosis she has been a beacon of light and positivity for her loved ones.

So far, she has had 6 rounds of chemo. After her last PET scan her doctor recommended she seek a consult from MD Anderson to determine the next course of action.  Getting the second opinion, as well as any treatments recommended, will not be covered by her insurance.  

Our sister has been doing everything in her power to conquer this disease. She is driven by the love she has for her husband, our mother and siblings, and especially for her two sons who are at the very beginning of their adult lives. The financial burden, even with insurance is mounting.

It is our wish for her that financial burdens and fear of not being able to take doctor’s recommendations for treatment because of lack of funds be eased. This fund is to help with the travel and medical expenses incurred by receiving the second opinion as well as living expenses at home.
