Around April I moved away from home to move in with my partner along side his mom, sister and friend who owned the home. Upon some negotiations I was permitted to stay for $200 a month plus some rules. I played along, paid my rent and conformed to the rules.
My partner’s mother and sister left the state for a family emergency, and the home owners attitude completely turned. She went from kind and understanding to cold and heartless within a month. My partner opted to go visit his family out of state for a week, and the home owner requested I find a place to stay for the week while she did repairs on the house. Then suddenly, she attempted to lie to everyone and state that she told me to move out at the time. The four of us confronted her and she dug her heels in and told me I had to move within a week, despite my rent being paid in full and no issues prior. We’ve had to start rush packing because of it.
She’s always been a difficult person to deal with as she emotionally abuses people and plays the victim when called on it, but this was the final straw as I have nowhere else to go and my partner and I can’t stand for the abuse anymore. We want to move out together so we can stay in town together and keep our jobs. Any money we could get would go towards a down payment and a months rent on an apartment for us, while we get back on our feet and recover.
I hate asking for money like this, but I don’t have any other options at this point and I just need to ask for help escaping the situation we’re in so we don’t lose everything. Any help at all is greatly appreciated and would go towards helping us get back to normal.
