Help My Parents Repair Their Only Car

Hi, my name is Ashley. I created this emergency fundraiser for my Mom and Dad. My parents are in desperate need of everyone's help. Last week on my mother's way to work her car's engine gave out. They have only had the car for 2 years and bought it at a local dealership. The dealership tells us that the cost to repair is approximately $8500.00 for a new engine and that is all they can suggest. The car isn't paid off for another 3 years. Unfortunately that means that the repairs are necessary versus the cost of a new vehicle. My dad's health issues require a dependable car and Mom works at the VA hospital assisting veterans with housing. Both of my parents are veterans and my father is disabled. Therefore reliable transportation is a must. There is no form of public transportation at all where they live. My mother commutes an hour to the nearest VA Hospital to work full time. Dad's car was stolen from their driveway last year and the thieves totaled it taking away his ability to get out on his own. In addition to this they are faced with the need to replace their hvac system which ironically is going to cost between $6000 to $8000 itself. This is a huge amount of money to come up with at once for Mom who works full time and is set to retire this summer. We don't expect to be able to do this without a miracle, so any amount does help. Even if we can come up with enough to get her a clunker that gets her to and from it's a start. Thank you in advance. God Bless!
