Cremation Expenses

As some of you may know, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach and liver cancer in May. In the last month her health declined rapidly. Unfortunately, she passed away on 8/16/22 in hospice.

There is never a “good time” for a death to happen, but this is the worst possible time from a financial standpoint. Due to multiple personal issues in mine and my family’s lives, we are left scrambling for fund to pay for her cremation.

I appreciate all of you who have already donated and I understand the hesitation to donate (for anyone who hasn’t.) At this point, if we cannot afford this, her remains would become county property and they would “dispose” of her as they see fit. This means we would not receive her ashes or have a burial site to visit. 

I hate even making this, but I think it’s important to swallow my pride and do what I can to give my mom the proper “send off,” so to speak.
