<div>We are Sri Lakshmi Deshakulkarni and my husband Raghavendra Deshakulkarni, a priest at the Hindu Temple of Florida, and we appeal together with heavy hearts to seek help for our beloved mother, Mrs. Pushpa, who is fighting for her life.

<div>Our mother is 60 years old, and she was admitted to Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru on 28th August 2025 with severe right upper lobe pneumonia, respiratory failure, and chronic pulmonary aspergillosis. She underwent a tracheostomy to help her breathe. She already has multiple health challenges including diabetes, osteoporosis, adrenal insufficiency, and rheumatic heart disease with severe mitral valve stenosis.

<div>Right now, she continues to need full ICU and ventilator support, and the doctors cannot say how long this will be required. Once she stabilizes, she will also need a mitral valve replacement surgery because of her heart condition.

<div>The journey ahead is long and uncertain. She needs continuous ICU care, medicines, physiotherapy, and eventually heart surgery, all of which come with very high costs. We want to do everything in our power to give her the best possible care, but we cannot do this alone.
