<div>For My Parents and Our Family
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Rob Tiongson, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my mother, my father, and our family during one of the most challenging periods of our lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In September 2026, my 81-year-old father underwent emergency triple coronary artery bypass surgery after doctors discovered three severely blocked arteries. Although we are incredibly grateful that he survived the operation, his recovery has been a long and difficult journey. He continues to need medical attention, care, and support as he works toward regaining his strength.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the same time, my 66-year-old mother is preparing to undergo cataract surgery on both eyes. We initially understood that her insurance copayments would be approximately $295 per eye. Unfortunately, we have since learned that her actual cost will be $1,195 per eye, totaling $2,390 for both surgeries.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This unexpected increase has created an even greater financial challenge for our family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I work full time while helping care for both of my parents and contributing a substantial portion of my income toward our household expenses. Between medical bills, groceries, transportation, utilities, and other essential needs, it has become increasingly difficult to keep up financially.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Like so many families, we are doing our best to navigate circumstances we never anticipated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks to the extraordinary kindness of friends, colleagues, and generous supporters, we have already raised $1,415 toward our family's medical expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I cannot adequately express how grateful I am to everyone who has contributed, shared our story, or offered encouragement. Your generosity has brought genuine relief during an incredibly stressful time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I originally closed this fundraiser believing we had raised enough to help address our immediate needs. However, after learning the full cost of my mother's upcoming cataract surgeries, I realized that our family still needs additional assistance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That is why I have decided to reopen our fundraiser with a new goal of $3,000.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our immediate priority is helping my mother receive the vision care she needs without placing an overwhelming financial burden on our household.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Additional donations will help with my father's ongoing medical needs, prescriptions, transportation to appointments, and essential household expenses as he continues recovering from his heart surgery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My parents have spent their lives making sacrifices for our family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They have supported me through challenges, celebrated my accomplishments, and given me more love than I could ever repay.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now, as they face serious health challenges later in life, I want to do everything within my means to make sure they receive the care, comfort, and dignity they deserve.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is heartbreaking to watch the people who have always been there for you struggle with their health while worrying about how to afford the care they need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I wish I could take away every worry they have.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although I cannot do that, I can continue doing everything possible to help them through this difficult chapter.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Asking for financial assistance is never easy, especially when so many people are facing challenges of their own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But any contribution, regardless of the amount, would make a meaningful difference for my parents and our family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are unable to donate, sharing our fundraiser with others would mean just as much.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To everyone who has already helped us: Thank you. Truly.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your generosity has reminded me that even during life's most difficult moments, there are wonderful people willing to lend a helping hand.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for reading our story, for caring about my parents, and for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of my heart, I am grateful.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love and gratitude,
</div>
<div>Rob Tiongson
