This is the story of my aunt told by my dearest cousin Brenda. My Aunt has Breast Cancer stage 3 and she needs urgent medical treatment, please help us so my aunt can see her grandson grow up…
My name is Brenda Bolivar and this is my beautiful mother with my son Fabian; she is 64 years old and she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer this year. My family is very close, and that’s because my mother has always done everything to keep us united. Since I am a little girl, I have always seen my mother working hard to support my older sister and me.
My mother is a strong woman. She is an example for me, and exactly the kind of woman and mother I want to be for my son. I was born in Lima, Peru. In my early age, we moved to Venezuela, because my mother wanted us to have a better education and a better future.
When I had my son, my mother made sure to support me when the father of my son turned his back on me, and she gave me everything, not just to me, but also to my son; she is one of the best grandmothers in the world. After the situation got worse in Venezuela, we decided as a family to go back to Peru and start over. We had to leave everything behind and we had to use all our savings to start a new life in Peru.
My mother and I quickly found a job, but the salaries in Peru are not that high and the life is expensive... especially the medical care. Since one month my mother felt something in her breast, she never complains, and she continuing working hard. After she finally went to the doctor, without telling me anything (just so we don't worry about her), the doctor sends her to do a mammography and right after a biopsy.
The result was breast cancer in stage 3, and we have to treat her immediately because the tumor is too big the doctors cannot make a surgery. That’s why first she has to make chemotherapy and radiotherapy to reduce the tumor and then the doctors will be able to make the surgery.
After her boss found out that she has cancer, the company fired her. I have 2 jobs to support my son and my mother, but unfortunately, we ran out of savings and we don't have any money to cover her treatment.
It breaks my heart to see her like this and to not be able to give her more... I don't know what else to do, and I cannot afford my mother's treatment, I just want that my son grow up with her grandmother and see how amazing and lovely and what a strong woman she is.
I want my mother to live and I need your help, any help possible towards her battle with cancer...
