As most of you know, my mother had a kidney removed earlier this year due to cancer. Her right kidney, the one she is surviving on, has only been functioning at a low 8 percent. She was put on long-term dialysis a few days ago and now has to be transported by ETHRA three times a week. She found out her insurance will not cover the cost of her transport back and forth. The cost for her is 6 dollars per day. My mother and stepfather struggle because they are on such a tight fixed income, and my stepdad has to work. My mom has been such a fighter during her weakest moments and still continues to fight. It is very important to me, as well as to others, that she can be stress-free and not worry about transportation costs. So, if you would be willing to help with any amount, it would be appreciated so much and used for her needs. We pray that her kidney will cooperate and give us more time with my mother.
