Help my Mom get her cancer treatment.

Hey everyone. I'm Melissa, the youngest daughter of one of the most adorable moms in the world, and I'm currently fundraising for her Cancer treatment.

 

About a week ago, my mom, Priscilla, got diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and needs to undergo chemotherapy and a mastectomy( removal of the breast). The cancer has reached her lymph node, but fortunately, it has not spread throughout the body. Therefore, with full determination, my family and I are all doing our best in supporting her and getting her the treatment she needs to get better.

 

We're a family of 5 living in Lebanon and as you all may know, the current state in Lebanon, whether financial or the healthcare system, makes it extremely difficult for us to attain the medications and treatment she needs to get better. With the soaring U.S dollar inflation and shortage of medicine, healthcare has become impossibly inaccessible. Nonetheless, that doesn't change the fact that my mom needs help and this is the only means to get her better. Therefore we are asking all our communities out there: Family, friends, colleagues, and people willing to help us out, to donate, share and spread the word to your communities of support.

The donated funds will cover the medication costs ( 29000$), scans and other tests ( 1500$), and her ongoing doctor appointments ( 500$).  Her surgery is majorly covered by the ministry of health. 

I honestly don't think any of us need to argue why our parents, families, and loved ones deserve the support for a healthy long-lasting life. My mom is my Mom and I can not put into words what she means to me, my family, and a whole lot of people. My family and I are all devastated and heartbroken by such news but even more so determined and optimistic to get her the treatment she deserves and hopeful that our communities will reach out in these times of need.

 

On a final note, finding her medications in Lebanon will be one of the major challenges on her road to recovery. Therefore, if anyone has any information or ways that could help us attain her medications please do reach out.
