I am reaching out to all who have met my mom, with a heavy but hopeful heart, to ask for your support in helping my mother, <strong>Adriana Díaz, in her hard battle against a rare neurodegenerative disease: Multiple System Atrophy - Parkinsonian type (MSA-P).</strong>

<div>MSA-P is a <em>rapidly progressing</em> condition with symptoms that mimic Parkinson’s, but it’s far more aggressive. It affects basic motor functions and movement (i.e., balance, speech), and even basic bodily functions like breathing and digestion. There is no known cure, and treatment options are very limited even until now.

<div>We have discovered promising stem cell therapies being offered that show very encouraging results in slowing the progression of MSA-P and improving patients’ quality of life. <strong>While not yet covered by insurance, this therapy could slow her disease, improve her day-to-day functions, and increase her quality of life so she can enjoy her grandson, who is soon to arrive.</strong>
