Help my mom Fight Colorectal Cancer

Hi! My name is Mystye Gorgan and I am asking for help to benefit My beautiful Mother Jazella Dabbs; known to friends and family by her nickname “Blue”. She is not only my mother but my person! The one person I go to for everything.
She was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer on July 13, and to say this was a complete shock to us is an understatement.
She has had a colonoscopy, chest/abdomen CT, chest X-ray, pelvic MRI, gynecological oncologist exam, and tons of blood work.
She has been to a general surgeon, 2 oncology surgeons, a radiological oncologist, a gynecological oncologist, and an oncologist.
She has been transferred from one hospital system to another with a specialty department in colorectal cancers.
We have been told the tentative treatment plan involves 5 weeks of radiation and chemo every day of those 5 weeks with weekends off. This is done to shrink the tumor; if the tumor does not shrink enough she will have a permanent colostomy bag for the rest of her life. This then also means surgery.
It has become very clear to us how financially devastating all of this will be. Every specialist she has seen had a high co-pay, the chest CT was done but denied by the insurance; she had to pay for the gynecological oncology exam fully out of pocket.
We are now waiting on a Pet Scan that the insurance is currently denying. We can not move forward with this treatment until the Pet Scan is done. The Oncology Department will use the Pet Scan along with the other tests to stage the cancer and confirm the correct treatment plan.
All we know at this moment is she is at least Stage 2.
With all the above information my Mother is taking this really well, much better than I am handling the news!
Unfortunately my mom is in a ton of pain and instead of focusing on resting and healing she is worried about the cost of medicine, travel, parking, lodging, and medical supplies that are not covered by insurance.
She has always been there for me and many others when we have needed her and it’s now my turn to help her in any way I can. I unfortunately can not cover all the cost on my own.
For those who don’t know, Jazella “Blue” is a very independent and proud woman who will not ask for help. She is very kind and will do anything she can to help others.
As her daughter I am asking for her; if you can help in anyway to offset the cost of this terrible disease and take some worry away and ease her mind my family will be forever grateful.
Also, thanks to those who took the time to read and share this, I appreciate that as well.
