Help My Papa Receive The Care He Deserves

My grandparents have always been my rock, and two people who I have greatly admired and looked up to my entire life. David and his wife, Nancy Cargill, have spent all their time on this earth making other people smile. From David traveling the world to spread the word of God, to dressing as Santa Claus for children for the past 45 years in parades, for photographers, shops, and restaurants. To Nancy nursing people back to life for 30 years as a caretaker, raising two boys, and trademarking the term “World’s Greatest Gran”. These are two people who have never ceased to bring joy to other people’s lives. I do sincerely believe that I will never meet anyone in my life as brilliant, kind, generous, and loving as my grandparents. They are true gems.
Ever since my papa’s heart attack in 2014 his health has been deteriorating. He has had to quit his favorite role of being Santa Claus. He began to have sleep issues and relied on a now recalled face mask to sleep. The polyester based polyurethane foam used in his mask to lessen sound and vibration can break down and was breathed in. This mask was shortly proven to potentially result in life-threatening serious injuries, and cause permanent impairment, and cancer to users. And after three years of use, he was diagnosed with cancer in his mouth and nose, where a tumor formed and left him unable to eat solid foods, speak audibly, and has left him without a nose since the tumor’s removal. My family is struggling to care for him and deserve better than to have to worry about finances in a time like this. And the care for my papa is too much work for my grandmother alone.
Please consider donating any money you feel comfortable giving to fund my grandparents hiring a caretaker and having a better means of living. I love them more than life and would do anything to help them. I am desperate for any means of care, food, or even a share for this fundraiser. Any affection or goodwill towards my grandparents is desperately needed and appreciated in this time. I will be continually posting updates about them on this page.
