My friend is currently living in Lagos, Nigeria, and is facing an incredibly difficult and dangerous situation. As a lesbian woman, she lives in constant fear of being outed for her sexuality. Her current living arrangement is coming to an end because her friends, with whom she has been staying, are moving out soon. This means she is at immediate risk of homelessness. In Nigeria, being a queer woman is not only isolating but can also be life-threatening. She has already endured so much, including endless harassment and the need to keep her social life private just to stay safe. Now, with nowhere to go and no one to turn to, her safety is more at risk than ever before.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping her secure safe accommodation, as well as providing her with food and transportation while she searches for work. This support is extremely urgent, as we only have until April to help her find stability and safety. Every dollar will make a difference in her life, giving her a chance to breathe, heal, and move forward without fear.

Donating to her is truly saving a life. She is one of the most selfless people I know, always willing to help and support her community in any way she can. She deserves warmth, kindness, and the chance to live without fear. Any help, whether it’s sharing this fundraiser or making a donation, will have a life-saving impact. Thank you for standing with her in this critical moment.
