<div>Bonjour ! J’organise cette collecte de fonds pour soutenir mon amie. Elle vit avec des douleurs chroniques depuis plusieurs années. Chaque jour est un vrai défi : se lever, bouger ou même faire des tâches du quotidien demande un effort immense.

<div>Elle a tenté de trouver du soutien à plusieurs reprises : consulter son médecin, obtenir un diagnostic clair, accéder à des soins qui prennent en compte l’ensemble des douleurs à travers son corps, pas seulement un “bobo” ici ou là. Malheureusement, le système est lent et souvent inadapté pour les personnes avec des handicaps invisibles. Elle est aussi sur le point de perdre son médecin de famille, qui part à la retraite d’ici deux mois, ce qui limitera encore plus son accès aux soins. Elle n’a d’autres choix que de prendre les choses en main pour obtenir les soins dont elle a besoin.

<div>Pour cela, elle a besoin de plusieurs soins continus : physiothérapie, ostéopathie, massothérapie, etc. Ces traitements complémentaires sont essentiels pour soulager la douleur, améliorer sa mobilité et aider à prévenir une détérioration de son état. Même si la physiothérapie est théoriquement couverte par le système public, le temps d’attente peut atteindre près de deux ans, alors que les soins doivent être reçus sur une période précise pour être efficaces. Les autres traitements, comme l’ostéopathie, la massothérapie et autres spécialistes, ne sont pas couverts. Comme il s’agit de soins réguliers sur plusieurs mois, le coût total est élevé et impossible à assumer seule.

<div>Elle ne peut pas travailler en raison de ses handicaps et vit avec un revenu très limité. Dans un système où les services publics sont insuffisants, accéder à des soins adaptés devient un luxe alors qu’il devrait être un droit.

<div>C’est une personne active dans sa communauté, toujours prête à offrir du soutien, de l’écoute et de la bienveillance à celles et ceux qui en ont besoin. Aujourd’hui, j’aimerais qu’elle puisse, à son tour, se sentir portée par cette même bienveillance. Cette campagne a pour but de lui offrir un peu de répit, la possibilité de se concentrer sur sa santé et d’améliorer sa qualité de vie.

<div>Hello! I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my disabled friend, who's been living with chronic pain for several years. Every day is a real challenge for her: getting up, moving around, and even completing everyday tasks takes a huge amount of effort for her.

<div>She has tried to get help in the past few years: consulting her doctor, seeking a clear diagnosis, trying to access care that considers her whole body, and not just isolated pains. Unfortunately, the system is slow and often inadequate when it comes to invisible disabilities. She’s also about to lose her family doctor, who is retiring in two months, which will make access to care even harder. She has no choice but to take matters into her own hands to get the care she needs.

<div>To do so, she needs ongoing treatments like physiotherapy, osteopathy, massage therapy, etc. These treatments are essential and work together to relieve her pain, improve mobility, and help to prevent further deterioration. While physical therapy is theoretically covered by the public system, the waiting time can be nearly two years, which prevents her from receiving the treatments within the timeframe needed for them to be effective. The other treatments, like osteopathy and massage therapy, are not covered at all. Because these therapies need to be regular and long-term, the total cost quickly becomes unaffordable for her.

<div>She’s unable to work due to her disabilities, and has a very limited income.

<div>In a system where public services are overstretched, accessing proper care has become a luxury, when it should be a basic right.

<div>She’s someone who gives so much of herself to her community, always offering kindness and support. I hope, through this fundraiser, she can feel that same support surrounding her now. This campaign aims to give her a bit of relief, to focus on her health, and to improve her quality of life.
