<div>Hi, I'm Canadian author Krista D. Ball, and I'm asking for help for my friend, E.
</div>

<div>E has asked me to help run her GoFundMe to protect her identity. She is currently living with family members who are abusive and controlling of all aspects of her life (not even food is safe for her at the moment). Her situation is escalating into violence now, and she must move for her safety.
</div>

<div>She has found a place where the rent will be 50% of her current income. She does not have enough saved for all of the expenses that come with fleeing abuse, including deposits, furniture, necessary kitchen supplies (cutlery, plates, toaster, etc), and stocking an empty fridge and pantry.

<div>I'm looking to raise a total of $3300 CAD to help her get back on her feet. This is the breakdown of how I came up with this figure:

<li>Purchase furniture (including a new bed, as she will have to leave everything behind), a table, as well as a desk and office supplies so she can continue to work-from-home
</li>
<li>Help stock her kitchen and fridge
</li>
<li>Hook up her internet and utilities and pay any deposits
</li>
<li>Have a little buffer toward rent
</li>
<li>Help pay toward therapy
</li>
<li>10% for fees, delivery costs, etc

<div>First, I want to thank everyone who donated last year. This allowed E to move cities, pay the various deposits when moving into an apartment, buy her things like a bed and mattress, and get her well-supplied with pasta.
</div>

</div>
<div>E is a freelancer, so income has been erratic. However, a major client has fallen through with work, and another is two months behind in payment. E has extinguished her savings, so a family member has stepped in and assisted with some payments. E also has picked up more work, but that won't be paid out for a bit.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So I'm looking to raise $725CAD for E to help her out over the next 3 months. This will cover groceries, bus/taxi fare, and her utilities (plus GoFundMe and any Paypal fees) while she gets more work built up and gets caught up on outstanding income that's not been paid yet.
</div>

<div>Again, E would like to thank everyone for all of their help, even if you cannot donate this time around. Your donations last year allowed E to move from a dangerous situation.
