My father is known by everyone as a hardworking man who loves his family and always finds a way to provide, no matter what. He takes pride in his work and enjoys every moment he spends with his loved ones. On Friday, May 15th, around 6 am, he was on his way to work when he was hit by a drunk driver. The impact made his truck roll over multiple times landing on the driver side. He lost most of his fingers in the accident and was taken to UMC trauma, needing immediate surgery. After one surgery, the best decision was to get his hand amputated. This has been a devastating experience for him and our family, making daily tasks and work incredibly challenging. 
 
 
 I'm raising funds to help cover his medical and doctor bills, and to get him a prosthetic hand, which is very expensive. He is looking forward to getting a prosthetic hand and being able to keep doing daily life tasks. The prosthetic will make a huge difference in his ability to do everyday things and help him continue providing for our family. Through this fundraiser, I want my father to know that he is not alone—there are people who care and want to help him through this difficult time.

El viernes 15 de mayo, alrededor de las 6 de la mañana, iba de camino al trabajo cuando fue atropellado por un conductor ebrio. El impacto hizo que su camión se vuelca, aterrizando en el lado del conductor. Perdió la mayoría de sus dedos en el accidente y fue llevado a UMC Trauma, necesitando cirugía inmediata. Después de una cirugía, la mejor decisión fue amputarle la mano. Esta ha sido una experiencia devastadora para él y nuestra familia, haciendo que las tareas diarias y el trabajo sean increíblemente desafiantes.
