8 years ago our dad was diagnosed with diabetes and liver problems were detected. His platelets were very low, which did not allow his blood to clot. After various tests and procedures, it was discovered that he had cirrhosis. A liver disease that cannot be cured and that over time would only cause the liver to deteriorate. My dad never drank a drop of alcohol so the doctors merit him a misdiagnosed hepatitis at some point in his life. By eating a healthy diet for his diabetes, it could slow the deterioration of the liver.

We recently had to make a visit to the emergency room, since my father had an acute pain in his stomach, after several tests carried out, another complication was found, where the gallbladder was obstructed by stones, due to the risks involved in doing a normal surgery caused by the deterioration of the liver and its blood that does not clot, other less invasive options were attempted.

The first procedure called CPRE, consists of entering a camera into the stomach through his mouth, but during the process they found that the gallbladder was plugged and trying to force his condition could cause internal damage.

A different procedure was attempted in which they seek to drain the stones with holes on the side, unfortunately it was not achieved because the liver expelled a liquid through its organs and it became hard, the pressure of the liquids made the stomach and gallbladder to be tight, and bile was spilled into the blood and that turned him yellow.

Unfortunately surgeons told him that there is no more that can be done for him surgically unless he has a liver transplant. His case was transferred to internal medicine to try to undo the stones with drugs but it has not been effective at the moment, he is in a state of malnutrition and requires a transplant.

He has always been a great father to us. A hardworker that always lead with example. He came from nothing from a small rural town and he has taken care of us for so long and now we want to try to save his life, but we can´t do it without your help.

We are from Guatemala and the surgery is extremely expensive in our country and we cannot afford it, please help us, we will thank you for a lifetime. Thank you very much!

Muchas gracias.
